
I.M.A.G.E. Makers Academy
I.M.A.G.E. Makers Academy is designed to be a life skills development program model for transitional aged youth ranging in ages 16-25 years old. We want to help young people to learn their strengths through different innovative testing, mentorship, and theme based training that will lead to their educational and career success.
I.M.A.G.E. stands for Innovative, Marketplace, Advancement, Generation, and Entrepreneur. We want to help high school and transitional aged youth to become INNOVATIVE in creating the design of their lives after transitioning through foster care. We want to build a bridge between those currently working in the MARKETPLACE with our TAYs and high school aged youth for the purpose of mentorship and coaching. We want to help TAYs and high school aged youth with ADVANCEMENT through the next level of education or job training that will help with being successful. It is our desire to impact this GENERATION of high school aged youth and young adults with the principles that will help them to move forward in life after foster care. And lastly, provide ENTREPRENEURIAL opportunities for those that have the desire to develop and create their own businesses.

The IMAGE Makers Academy is geared specifically for African American children who are performing below grade level, have low test scores, and need additional support. They will learn about black history (English scholars, math scholar, scientists, revolutionaries, community folks, etc) they will read and watch African American poetry, songs, dances, and film; to incorporate it into their learning. They will get monthly principles (scriptures) to focus on.
